My Body's Own Death Sentence

My Body's Own Death Sentence
(A Terminal Diagnosis)

Underneath the solidity of the choices I've made
This body will constantly remind the mind of it's heartache
As a separate entity from my soul, it's unfamiliar face
will ultimately decide the rest of my fate.

Traditional insomnia, and fading perfume,
A new found embrace in a bottle that soothes,
the involuntary disappearance of my appetite all proves
that in your absence my body's no fool
as it lost it's will to live when I lost you.
